Weed whips are used to cut vegetation, such as tall grass and light brush, much like a weed whacker. It is operated by swinging the blade left and right with two hands. The bottom of the tool is heavier than the top, increasing the cutting power of the tool. Screws holding the blade in place can often come loose, so it is important to check that they are still intact. Weed whips should not be used on thick stems.
