Ranging in two sizes, rock bars are used to break up and loosen hard materials or as a lever to move heavy objects (e.g. large rocks). The bar is narrower toward the top and has a wedge toward the bottom used for digging into material or the ground. Two or more rock bars can be used at once to simultaneously transport hefty rocks by digging under the rock, pushing the bar down as a lever, and re-digging the bar under the rock to start the process over. Rock bars are quite heavy, and caution should be taken when handling.
